The Monthly Playlist: February '20
It’s been roughly 9 months now that I’ve been without a car, including the time we were out of the country for 4 months last year, but really the desire to buy a new one has only recently hit. I thought I was going to be a ball full of stress without one, but over the summer I’ve actually been pretty happy catching Ubers, public transport & borrowing Liam’s or family members cars for those 7 AM pilates classes. There maaaay have been a couple of “oh god this uber is going to cost me a fortune’ moments, but for the most part I’ve survived the lack of independence.
But alas, my friends, the love I have for music is demanding those daily musical discoveries from inside the car. I miss being excited to play my new favourite songs en route to a meeting or event, or just shuffling through the ‘what’s new to Spotify’ playlist so that I can discover new favourite artists.
While I stalk the vehicles that trademe currently have on offer, I present to you my favourite ‘cool girl’ songs of the month. Mercury is in retrograde and I’ve just needed some music that soothes the soul, so here you go.
